New Trends in Drug delivery and Targeting: Potential Clinical Applications

Abstract:
There has been increasing interests in the use of carrier vehicles for drug delivery in vivo with the potential for clinical applications. In this lecture, the idea behind using a carrier vehicle for drug delivery will be discussed. Drug targeting strategies in use or under development, including: liposomes, micelles, drug-polymer conjugates, erythrocytes and blood platelets will be also discussed in details in terms of their preparation, evaluation as well as potential clinical applications.
